Wednesday Friendly Round-Up
Five Premier League sides featured in Wednesday friendlies, as the sides see if what they have is enough, with the League starting fixture fast approaching.
Liverpool struggled against Swiss side Grasshopers, failing to break the deadlock, held to a 0-0 draw. Their oppenents on the opening day, Arsenal comfortably beat Austrian champions, Sturm Graz, 3-0.
Arsenal enjoyed another comfortable win in pre-season, Nasri scored a brace, with promosing young player Lansbury completing the scoring in the second half.
The closest Liverpool went was through N'Gog, but Liverpool were held, after they fielded a youthful side against Grasshopers.
Birmingham visited Beijing Guoan, with Garry O'Connor grabbing the only goal of the game, as the Blues look to repeat last years success.
The only Premier League side to be beaten on Wednesday were Blackburn. A dissapointing result against Huddersfield, losing 1-0, will worry Blackburn fans, despite being so early on in the season.
Sunderland also faced a tougher than thought fixture against English oppenents Brighton, drawing the game 1-1 at the Stadium of Light, the few travelling fans were overjoyed with the result.
